This time a picture of Kevin Hart is subtly suggesting satire. Otherwise, I would have thought that Hart did get revenge on the racist staff writer by punching him in the face 482 times. I admit, it is a flaw of mine to read content without regard for a piece's rhetoric and context. Still, even if I had gone to those friday recitations of News Lit, it would seem plausible that in the Press's ambiguously defined "satirical" interview, Hart was glad that The Statesman was to receive the only campus media interview.

there is literally nothing in that piece about Hart that would even remotely suggest that it was satire. How is it not plausible that this interview actually happened? He's known to be vulgar at times, and it's possible that he said those things.
The Chris Rock photo doesn't suggest satire, it suggests idiocy. Bottom line though, the fact that it was satire actually makes it worse. First I bet the kid who wrote it is white, and it is littered with racist comments. If it was real at least it could be chalked up to Hart being an idiot, but you made it up...now it's just straight up racism. You're an alternative paper, but that doesn't mean you should be throwing professionalism out the window.

Well said, editors! I loved that old logo and despise the new one, for many of the reasons you put forward.

I mean free shows are cool and all, but I think this entertainment agenda that they are following is dragging down the academic/professional integrity of this school, I think the worst part about this is that for clubs who have their budget cut now are forced to look for outside revenue....I mean we live relatively close to NYC so I really don't think there is an excuse!

you imply in this piece that Glazer created a new logo for Stony Brook free of charge -- as a favor to his good friend. SSK was a client of his - that's how she became acquainted with him. he was paid handsomely for designing that logo and creating advertising. period. stop being so apologetic of the level of education this institution provides. it is a great institution. and PS - Look back at news reports from when the Glazer logo was introduced, and note how unpopular it was.
