This behavior they have is true of any hard liner on either side, its a policy on insularism, to completely block off opposing viewpoints, to the point where you have no point of reference any more, and you are farther in the fringes then you would have imagined. It's unfortunate, and it's not only evident in the so-called "conservatives," but in every person that can't see past their overwhelming hatred for the other side--liberal and conservative alike.
